Waterman's Arms Bow Bridge

 |
Landlord and Landlady, Rob and Jainie
Rob and Jane have spent their entire lives in the hospitality industry,
owning a number of properties and were on their way,
with their three children to France when The Waterman's Arms became
available.
Having spent four months out of the trade and leading a relatively
normal life it took
something as outstanding as
The Waterman's Arms to tempt them back.
Having never operated a tied
house before there has been some difficulties
but they are enjoying it immensely and maintain their original plan
"Let's get it right"
|
Head Chef Craig
Craig was Head Chef here about 11 years ago and a fortuitous meeting with
Rob on the watershed led to him working first part time
then taking on the reigns of The Waterman's kitchen again.
When the
grenades are flying he can still be heard saying
"I only came in for a sandwich!"
The calmest chef I have ever worked with he has a passion for cooking
and a true understanding of the peculiarities of the
hospitality industry a great find and a wonderful head of department.
He is the first Head Chef that has truly understood and captured, with
his menus the vision that
Rob and Jane have for The Waterman's Arms.

Head Housekeeper Anne
35 short years ago this lovely lady came to work at The Waterman's Arms,
she is a stalwart and a rock, her section is never a problem,
except when she is writing on the right hand side of the office
whiteboard.
A Willo-The-Wisp as elusive as the kingfisher if you are quiet you may
see her
dashing around the corridors,
I normally just see a pair of feet under a huge ball of laundry! |

Head of IT. Chris
By necessity a VERY patient man, as in
"Crawford you have done what, how
the hell did you break that?"
Helped Rob get the website up and running and generally makes sure that
anything that beeps or whirrs
continues to do so,
we would be lost without him.

Tame(ish) Gorilla Woosey
To be found near the fire pontificating at length about any and
everything,
can become violent if you touch 'his fire' but is quickly calmed with
alcohol.
A whiz with a chain saw he can fell a tree in minutes, if you wanted it
felled or not!
A great mate and MUST be seen in his natural environment
drinking with
The Chisholm, but that's another story,......
|
Dog Emma
Emma has been a pub dog all her life and says
'It may be a dogs life, but it will do for me'.
Passionate about sticks and stones she will happily amuse you on the
river
and although now thirteen she assures us that she will not be slowing
down.
|
Dog Bow
A new (ish) addition to the family Bow is a Springer Collie
cross and mad as a bag of fish!
He is trying his best to re-route the creek by moving all the
stones, we have no idea why?
Very much the super model in the family he has the brains to
match.

Cats; Mango, Peaches, Damson and Mr. Fluffington
Flatface Loganberry III
Not mad fond of cats so we have four!
Out there killing stuff and bringing it home to show me!
|
Doodle the Cockerel, Chickens and Guinea Fowl
Fresh eggs, beautiful fluffy babies, I love this lot!
